The Town Council of the Town of Columbia:
met persuant to adjournment
Mayor Pierson presiding:
Roll Called:
Present C N Groat, D C Brown, A A Hepler
L Almquist and F J Brown:
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
City Attorney: RSeported favorably on bond
of O A Schade as treasurer. and same was accepted
City Attorney bond read and accepted
Ordinance No 62 An Ordinance prescribing
a place for incarceration of prrisoners
being introduced at previous meeting
read and on motion was passed on
a unanimous vote:
Committee on Streets and Alleys report
nothing done on Account of no lumber:
Also report Bridge Covered.
Committee empowered to purchase lumber
for drains.
Committee on Finanace report Marshal
J C Huff's books audited and found same
to be carried with balance due town of
six & 30/100 dollars;
Committee recommend that Clerk open
up a new set of books commencing with
the Annual Report for January 1896. and
that council furnish Clerk with a list
of Water Consumers, Owners of Dogs, and
persons subject to Poll Tax, and Clerk
furnish Marshal with a list of the same
and charge him therewith.
Committee to balance up accounts to Jan 1st
1896. and furnish Clerk with a copy of the
Same. which shall be a beginning of his
new set of books, committee further authorized
to employ Clerk to made a new entry of
warrants so they will be numbered
consecutively: Committee granted further time
