Gentlemen

The Petitioner
an old resident of the
city aforesaid & tax pay
er of the same, would
respectfully show to the
honorable body that his
property situated on the
corner of 4th & Jackson
was on the 6th day of June,
1889 entirely destroyed by
fire, that since that
time your petitioner
has been compelled
to live in
