Seattle Dec 9th 1885 To the Hon. Mayor and City Council Gentlemen Your petitioner asks for the privilege of erecting a frame building on the line of the alley between Madison and Spring Street and west of Front the said building to be one story high and is to be used for the purpose of storing ice there is no other building nearer than 20 feet on south side or nearer the 120ft on the north side of the proposed site for which this privilege is asked and your petitioner most Respectfully asks the granting of this petition the above building of allowed will not increase John S. Anderson the risk of surrounding property & I know of no reason why the erection thereof should not be permitted C Keleff Chf Dpt
