Brookes and 23 others for the grading and planking of the Alley between 2nd & 3rd and Columbia and Marion Streets is transmitted to your Honorable Body with a Reorum Eu Satori that the work be done at the expense of the owners of the abutting property. Seattle Wash Feby 1891 To the Honorable Board of Public works of the city of Seattle Washington The undersigned, your petitioners, respectfully call your attention to the wretched condition of the ally between second and third streets and bounded by Marion and Columbia Streets in this City: also this alley is used continually as a main road on which all mails for the lower sound and Alaska are transported also the heavy draying of two of the daily papers of this city is done through a portion of this said alley as is other considerable business done. Your petitioners respectfully request that this alley be graded and planked to conform to the grade of the aforementioned Columbia and Marion Streets and they will ever praying. A. M.
