Seattle April 21st 1892 To the City Council On January 14th 1890 I paid into the City Treasurer for Street improvement Tax on Lot 11 Block 21 Heirs of S A Bells 2nd Add. Eight St. $168.84 I paid said tax under protest as we the property owners understood we were assessed too much and I find on making inquiry that others have not paid so much as I did by $40.00 & $50.00 as I did. (to mention one instance I find that Mr Spriggs who owns a corner Lot in the next block only paid $120.00 Oweing to me being very Deaf I am unable to give particular as I sould do, but the Tax Rolls will show what I have said to be true. I therefore petition your honorable body for a rebate if said taxes paid in excess of others I am your respectfully A Beaumont 913 Leonora St Seattle
