Petition Seattle June 28 1889 To The Honorable The Mayor and Common Council of The City of Seattle

Gentlemen The Petitioner herein asks your Honorable body to refund to me the unexpired license money paid into the City Treasury on the 5th day of May, having done business just one month before the fire, and up to the 6th of June, having just 11 Eleven Month of License Due me having been burnt out, and unable to rebuild. I have to remain out of business, and I ask you Hon Body, to grant me the balance due me, and your petitioner will ever pray her Jane X Berry Mark
