Petition States: That He is a resident of the City of Seattle and the owner of Lot 8, Block 37 of Boren's Addition to said City, together with the improvements thereon, which said lot is situated on the corner of Fourth and Terrace Streets in said City; that at the present time the grade of the said street is made higher than the level of the said lot, and petitioner states that he is informed and believes that said city intends adding to and widening the said grade; that petitioners said premises will be greatly damaged thereby unless some measure is taken by your Honorable Council to prevent the dirt used in the grading

of said streets as aforesaid from coming upon petitioners premises Wherefore petitioner requests of your Honorable Council that a bulkhead be built along each of the said streets sufficient to confine the said dirt and to prevent the same from coming upon and injuring petitioners said premises A Borella I, Antony Borella being first duly sworn depose and say that I am the person described as the petitioner in the above petition, that I have heard the same, read, know the contents thereof and that the allegation therein contained are true as I verily believe.
