To the Honorable Mayor, and Common Council of the City of Seattle. Gentlemen:- I, the undersigned, herein petition your Honorable Body to have stricken from the assessment roll for 1889. as error the amount $240.00 assessed to me as personal property, it being a mistake. In looking over the records Deputy Auditor Twichell found it to be an old chattel mortgage 27 years old wrongly assessed to me: he thereupon issued a written order to County Treasurer Lattimer to have the above $240.00 stricken from the County tax roll as an error. Hoping your Honorable Body will grant this petition, I remain yours respectfully, James L Clark Per W H Clark
