Seattle Sep 28th 1890 To The Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle We the undersigned citizens petition your Honorable Body for the removal of a tree which stands on Columbia St in front of Number 213 for the reason that it is of no value either to the City or the property owners and is an obstruction to our view and a common nuisance in as much as it affords a hitching place for teams which obstruct the alley east of the Boston Block and the crossing leading across Columbia St to the Post Office.
