To the Hon/Mayor and the Common Council of the City of Seattle
We, the undersigned petitioners being a majority of the taxpayers and owners of real estate fronting upon Canal Street between 14th and to the alley between 15th and 16th Street in the first of the City of Seattle respectfully petition your Hon body to have the grade of said Canal Street between 14th and to the alley between 15th and 16th Street established and that your Hon body order the same to be opened graded and sidewalked between said 14th and to the alley between 15th and 16th Strs in accordance with the rules and laws governing such proceedings. Dated April 8th-1890

The following is a description of the property owned by persons named in the attached petition, bordering on Canal St known and described in the City Chart of the City of Seattle as McAleers supplemental addition to Seattle Dated this 26 day of April 1890.
