To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle

Gentlemen We the undersigned petitioners would most respectfully represent that Depot Street (between Box Street and Birch Street) is frequently during the rainy season almost impassible teams often miring down on account of the depth of the mud and water and that the said Depot Street be planked a distance of two ploers[?] from Box Street to Birch Street and your petitioners will ever pray.
