To the Hon. Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle.
Gentlemen:
We, the undersigned, property owners along the line of Rollin Street, in the City of Seattle, would respectfully remonstrate against the granting of petition of Jacob Furth et al. for a franchise to locate, construct and maintain and operate a line of railway in along and upon Rollin Street, for the reason that we are not satisfied as to whether or not said Jacob Furth et al. will furnish to the public satisfactory railway facilities etc. And we would petition your Honorable Body to grant the prayer of the petition heretofore presented to your honorable Body by Luther H. Griffith to locate construct and operate a line

of railway along said street as we are satisfied from careful investigation and observation that if said franchise is granted to said Luther H. Griffith, he will construct and operate a line of railway along said street in such a manner as will prove of great benefit to the property along said street and the public in general. Your petitioners would therefore pray that your Honorable Body reject the petition of Jacob Furth et al. and grant the prayer of petition of Luther H. Griffith and your petitioners will ever pray.
