Board of Public Works
Seattle, Wash., 1893
provisions of the specification in
the contract. We do not think the
engine faulty either in construction
or workmanship as alleged by some.
As to the objection that the engine is
overweight we desire to say that it
was the order of this Board that the
weight be increased because of the
great strain on engines used in Seattle.
The Board has endorsed to the best
of their ability to perform the duties
incumbent upon them in carrying
out the provisions of the ordinance author-
-ising the purchase of this fire apparatus
and they believe that there is no 3rd
class engines made superior to the
Waterous 3rd class engine bought by
this board.
