Seattle Oct 14, 1889To the Hon the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle Washington Your petitioner a resident and tax payer of the City of Seattle respectfully asks that she be allowed to repair the roof of the one story frame dwelling house situated on Lot 10 Block 26 of Bell & Denny Add., being on the West Side between Bell & Battery Sts. as well as to raise the said house to a level with the street and to add a porch on one side of the house and 8 foot addition on the other. This house is situated within the recently established fire limits but thos contemplated renovation and repaining will not increase the fire hazard. C T Fonda

To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle Gentlemen: Your committee on Fire & Water to whom was referred a petition from Mrs C T Fonda asking permissionto add to and repair her house on Third Street the same being within the Fire Limits beg toreort that to grant this petition would be equivalent to allowing petitioner to build a new wooden house, and recommend the petition be rejected.
