City of Seattle Wash
Gentlemen-
We the undersigned
property owners of the City of Seattle
would most respectuflly submit for
consideration by our honorable body,
the following remonstrance against the
assessment made under Ordinance
#1413 for the improvement of South
12th St-
First - We are owners of property
on said street lying North of Jackson
Street, which has been assessed to pay
for said improvements,
Second: Said assessment had been
made up from the assessment rolls
for the year 1889
Third: Said assessment as made is
unfair and unjust to us, for the reason
that at the time of assessing to the year
1889 a majority of the property lying
South of Jackson Street was Comparatively
inaccessible and therefore not nearly
so valuable as at present.
