Honorable City Council;
City of Seattle, Washington
Comes now Louis Gnecchi of the Firm of Lombardini and Gnecchi
of the City of Seattle, and hereby makes claim and hereby files his
claim for damages and loss of property against the City of Seattle,
caused to him by the last quarentine by the City of Seattle, of his
place of business known as "American Hotel", and the rooms
beneath, situated at 117 West Washington Street in the said City of
Seattle, between the 19th day of October, and the 7th day of November,
A D 1892, the said loss and damage being as follows:
19 days rental of building at $225.00 per month......$142.50
19 days Licenses at $600.00 per year...................31.54
19 days lodging for 25 people.........................118.75
10 pillow-slips at 50 cents each, taken to pest house...5.00
10 pillows at $2.50 each, taken to pest house..........25.00
10 sheets at $1.00 each,................................5.00
5 blankets at the value of $3.50 each,.................17.50
5 quilts at the value of $1.50 each,....................7.50
5 bedspreads at the value of $1.25 each,................6.25
2 Mattresses at the value of $4.00 each,................8.00
Total $372.04

Louis Gnecchi, a member of the firm of Lombardini and
Gnecchi
. being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says: that
he is the person who makes the foregoing claim against the City of
Seattle; that the articles named therein, and each and every one
of the tiems as appearing therein, were wholly taken away and lost
to plaintiff to his damage in the full sum of $372.04: that said
claim is true and correct in every respect.
