of the city of Seattle
Gentlemen
We the
undersigned residence businessmen
and properties owners on and near Pike
and 4th Street Seattle hereby certify
that we are well acquainted with
Willis H Howard the applicant
for a retail liquor license prayed for
in the foregoing petition which we
have read and know to be true and
that said Howard is a reputable and
capable businessman and good citizen
of Seattle of which he has been a
resident for over 12 years last past
we are also well acquainted with the
character of the business now carried
on by him at 325 Pike street corner of
4th Street and has been fitted up at
Great expense and is conducted by him
as a first-class billiard room and we
are of the opinion that if granted a retail
liquor license he will conduct their in
connection with his billiard-room any
orderly quiet and first class Saloon which
will be of little if any detriment to
