Seattle W T August 23/89 To the Hon Mayor and Common Council In the matter of the improvement of Kinnear Park which has been under our superivsoin we beg to report as follows: As directed by your honorable body we have caused such improvements to be made in said park in the way of grading, clearing, fencing, as where repaired by the grantor of said park, George Kinnear Esq. under the terms of his grant. We consider that all the conditions upon which the Park was dedicated by Mr. Kinnear have been fully complied with and that the City now has the right to a deed from him of the property in the limits of said park & Annex of limits we submit vouchers from Mr Kinnear and others showing that the work caused to be done by us is of a satisfactory character. We desire to be instructed by your honorable body as to what further steps we shall take towards securing title to the City of the property in question, as MrKinnear declines to give deed. Boone & Meeker Architects Seattle W T 1889 This argument made the first day of April 1889. Between the Park Comissioner for the City of Seattle and J H West and J A Hill Witnesseth that the said West & Hill agree to do the clearing of Kinnear Park in accordance with instructions and to the satisfaction ofGeorge Kinnear in consideration of the above promises the Park Commissioner agree to pay or cause to be paid to the said West & Hill. the sum of $30.00 per acre. The above amount to be paid only after the above work shall have been completed and accepted by Mr. Kinnear and the Park Commissioners W E Boone for Park Com't J H West J A Hill

Seattle May 29th 1889 I have examined the clearing done in the lower part of Kinnear Park by Messrs West and Hill and find that the work has been done carefully and satisfactorily. F A churchill Mr Boone I am satisfied the clearing above mentioned has been well done. Geo Kinnear
