A petition, signed by 12 property owners, was submitted requesting that a sewer be placed in Jackson Street from Eleventh Street to Fifth Street. At that time the residents had no sewerage system and the lots and street were full of cesspools. The Committee on Sewers and Drainage recommended that the petition be granted.
