COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE.

Be it remembered tht on this the 15th day of May,
1882, the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in
it's Council Chamber, in the Engine House on Columbia
Street, in said City, as a board of equalization, for
the purpose of equalizing the assessment roll of said city
for the year, 1882, and to hear complaints of those feeling
themselves aggrieved therby, pursuant to adjournment of May 13th, 1882.

Present His Honor, The Mayor L. P. Smith and Councilmen
Thomas Clancy, John Collins, Wm. A. Jenning, John keenan and Chas McDonald.

The Council proceeds with the equalization of said
Assessment roll.

The following named persons having beeen duly notified
according to law their assessments are raised as follows,

Towit: Schwabacher Bros & Co Stack of Merchandise raised to $55,000.
Wo Chong (Stack of Merchandise raised to) $3,000.
[Franenthal?] Bros (Stack of Merchandise raised to) $11,000.
C. P. Stone & Co ( Stack of Merchandise raised to) [$01,500.?]
S. Kenney (Stack of Merchandise raised to) $3,000.
Wald Campbell (Stack of Merchandise raised to) $5,500.
F. W. Wusthof (Stack of Merchandise raised to) $6,000.
Adam Orth (Stack of Merchandise raised to) $1,000.

Board adjourns until May 16th, 1882.

the City of Seattle meets in it's Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment of
May 15th, 1882. Present, His Honor, the Mayor L. P. Smith and Councilmen
Thos Clancy, John Collins, Wm. A. Jennings, John Keenan and Chas McDonald.

Ordered that Policeman John Baker be discharded and that Policman
John Welch be charded from the [2nd?] Ward to the 1st Ward
Ordered that the Ordinance Committee, at the meeting
of the Council to be held on May 19th, submit estimates
of the Amount of Money necessary to be raised for municipal
