141 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE P.M. Ordered that the council stand adjourned until Thursday October 5, 1882 at 7&1/2 O'clock P.M. Attest: E.S. Osborne clerk Approved H G Struve Mayor Oct. 5/82 Be it remembered that on this the 5th day of October 1882 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its council chamber pursuant to adjournment The following officers are present to wit: His honor the mayor H.G. Struve and councilmen O.F. Cosper, Charles F. Clancy, Fred Gasch, Charles McDonald and U.M. Rasin Thereupon the following proceedings are had. And now the council proceeds to examine, consider & hear all complaints touching the amended and supplemental assessment roll for the grading & improvements under ordinance No 288, which roll was filed with the city Clerk September 5. 1882. Thereupon the Council makes the following changes & corrections in said roll to wit: The assessment against S.G. Benedict on Lot 4 Block 24 of Denny's plat valued at $800 for land & $100 for improvements is erased & struck from said roll The assessment against Geo Kinnear on lot 8 block 15 of Boren & Denny's plat valued at $2500 for land & $400 for improvements is changed and reduced to the S 1/2 of said lot and is valued at $1300 for land & the said for $400 for improvements the assessment against D.H. Callahan on lot 5 in block 22 of Denny's plat valued at $1600 for land and $50 for improvements is reduced to $1500 on lot & no change for improvements The assessment against L.H. Terry on lot 8 in block 45 of Denny's plat valued at $800 for lands is erased and struck from said roll. And now all complaints against said roll or any individual assessment therein having been heard

Struve and councilmen O.F. Cosper, Charles F. Clancy, Fred Gasch, Charles McDonald and U.M. Rasin. Thereupon the following proceedings are had: Petitions Recieved From August Hess et al with reference to certain proposed changes in Front Street grade. Referred to Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From S.F. Coombs et al with reference to certain proposed changes in Front Street grade. Referred to Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From A.B. Young praying for a reduction in his assessment. Laid on the table. From H.G. Struve et al for the grading of Pine Street from Front Street to the alley between Front and Second Streets. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements. From August Hess against the removal of earth in Pine Street. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From Roside Scott et al asking for certain changes
