The attorney submits an Ordinance entitled "For the protection of wharves and Bridges", thereupon after due considration the same is adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, McDonald & Wusthoff. Against adopton none. And now the Council porceeds to consider an Ordinance entitled "To amend Ordinance No 383 In relation to grades", thereupon the same is adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, McDonaldRanke & Wusthoff. Against adopton none. And n ot the Council proceeds to reconsider an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to amend Ordinance No 410", thereupon after due considration of the veto of His Honor the Mayor to said Ordinance, said ordinace is rejected upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption none. Against adoptonClancy, Day, McDonald & Wusthoff. And now the Council porceeds to consider 4 Ordinances each being and a Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills"

408 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Dec 7/83 After due consideration the same are adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, McDonald, Ranke & Wusthoff. Against adopton none. Miscellaneous Ordered that the rate of assessment in order to provide funds to pay for the grading of Main Street under Ordinance No 385 be & the same is hereby fixed at the rate of 116&3/10 mills on the Dollar Ordered that the rate of assessment in order to provide funds to pay for a sidewalk on Main Street under Ordinance No 385 be & the same is hereby fixed at the rate of 22&9/10 mills on the Dollar Ordered that the rate of assessment in order to provide funds to pay for the Improvement of Columbia Street under Ordinance No 386 be & the same us hereby fixed at the rate of 132&5//10 mills on the dollar. Ordered that the Surveyor be & He is hereby authroized to occupy the vacant Office in the City Hall. Ordered that the Committee on the Columbia St Engine House be & they are hereby authorized to introduce gas in said Engine House Ordered that the Street Commissioner be & he is hereby instructed to lay a proper sewer leading from Columbia St Engine House. Ordered that the Attorney be & he is hereby instructed to submit an Ordinance to provide for a sewer on Battery Street. And now in pursuance to the revisions of Ordinance No 475 the Mayor appoints Councilmen Clancy, Wusthoff & Ranke as a Special Committee whose duty it shall be to employ some competant perosn to make the revision & compilation of Ordianances under said Ordinance No 475 Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned Attest E S Osborne clerk Approved H G Struve mayor
