197 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE May 20 1887 same is on motion approved. On motion the Committee on Harbor and Wharves directed to repair and put in good condition the Fire slips along the water front. On motion one double fire plug is ordered placed on Yesler's Wharf under the direction of the Chief of the Fire Department. Ordinances An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance to prevent the overcrowding of sleeping apartmants in lodging and tenement houses and other buildings for the preservation of health'' which after due consideration is passed by the following vote: In favor of the same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell & [Reitze]]. Against none. An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "AnOrdinance to prevent injury to the hose of the Fire Department and obsructing the Streets during fires'' which is passed by the following vote: In favor of the same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell& [Reitze]]. Against none. An Ordinance is submitted by the Clerk entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills'' which is passed by the following vote viz: Ayes Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell & [Reitze]].
