Petition of A E Hanson et al for a new Fire Alarm bell at
Engine House No 3 Lake Union. Read and referred to
Committee on Fire and Water.
Reports of City Officers
From City Attorney of matter of petition of Seattle
Upholstering and Mfg Co for the lease of a portion of
the foot of Spring Street to the effect that there is no
legal objections to such lease being granted, provided
the street is not needed for street purposes.
On motion the Committee report recommending the
granted of said lease is rejected and the lease
refused.

From Street Committee recommending that Washington
Street be planked 16ft wide from the middle of South
Second Street to the west side of South Fourth Street
Adopted.
From same Committee on petition of Schwabacher Bros
& Co for extending wharves from the most centrally located
streets out to deep water recommending that said
petition be granted and that the Mayor appoint a special
