497 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Jun 1 1888 to attend to the collection of licenses. On motion the Plat of Monroe & Whipple's Addition to the City of Seattle is rejected. Ordinances 941 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance granting the use of the foot of Main Street in the City of Seattle to Thomas Ewing his heirs and assigns for ferry purposes", which after due consideration is passed by the following vote, to wit: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Neisz, Russell and Reitze. Against the same none. 942 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance to widen and straighten South Eleventh Street in the city of Seattle Washington Territory, and to provide for the condemnation of real estate necessary therefor", which is passed by the following vote, viz: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Neisz, Russell and Reitze. Against the same none. 943 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance establishing the grade of Tenth Street in the City of Seattle between Seneca and Cedar Streets", which is passed by the following vote, viz: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Neisz, Russell & Reitze. Against the same none. 945 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance establishing the grade of Lake Avenuein the City of Seattle between John and Harrison Streets", which is passed by the following vote, viz: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Neisz, Russelland Reitze. Against the same none. An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance to provide for the grading of Lake Avenue in the City of Seattle betweeen John Street and Harrison Street and constructing sidewalks on said street". After due consideration of said ordinance on motion of Councilman Neisz it is ordered that action on said ordinance be postponed until the next regular meeting. 946 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance to provide for the grading of South Eleventh Street in the City of Seattle from Mill Street to [Lane Street]] and constructing sidewalks on said South Eleventh Street", which is passed by the following vote, viz:In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Neisz, Russelland Reitze. 499 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE June 6 1888 950 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitles "anOrdinance to provide for the grading of Wall Street in the City of Seattle from Elliott's Bay to Depot Street" which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Niesz, Russell & Reitze. Against the same none. 949 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Clerk entitled "A Special Ordinance Appropriating money to pay Audited Bills" which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Niesz, Russell & Reitze. Against the same none. Ordered that the council do now adjourn Approved T T Minor mayor Attest W R Forrest clerk Jun 15 1888 Be it remembered that on this 15th day of June A D 1888 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to law. Present Acting Mayor Furth and Councilmen Frink, Green, Lake, Niesz, Russell & Reitze. Absent Mayor Minor & Councilman Moran The folowing proceedings are had to wit: Petitions etc. Petitionof John Ray for permission to put a pea-nut stand corner Front and Spring Streets read and referred to the Street Committee. Petition of Henry Sheahan and others for grading South Eleventh Street from Lane Street to Dearborn Street and building sidewalks on both sides of said street, read and on motion tabled. Petition of A Krug & others for grading and building sidewalks on both sides of Sixth Street from Depot Street to Battery
