COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE
Aug 31 1888
Remonstrance of F H Peterson and others against the
Mill Street assessment district. Read and referred to
City Attorney.
Communication from the City Surveyor asking the
Council to notify the owner of Lots 10 & 11 Blk 41 Bell
& Denny's addition
to remove obstructions from said lots
so as to allow Second St to be widened and graded. Read
and parties ordered notified.
Committee Reports
From Street Committee on the matter of changing the
grade of Fifth St at Depot recommending that no change
be made. Adopted.
From Same committee on the petition of W M Thomas
for use of alley on Washington Street between So 2nd &
So 3rd streets, recommend that the petition be not
granted. Adopted.
From Same committee on the petition of Jeannette
C Nevins
for damages account of widening Second
St
recommending that petitioner be allowed the
sum of $100.00. Adopted and warrant ordered
drawn.

Ordered that the Chairman of Committee of Health and
Police be authorized to rent room in the new
