You may count the silver which you find within And you perhaps might weigh it in a scale, But you can never, if you try forever, Count up the love which will not fail. You cannot weight the love which prompted all To join with others in these silver showers Accept each little mite of silver bright And know that "all the pleasure will be ours!"

My dear Cornelia and John Bentley.
My heartfelt congratulations on the present and my best wishes for the future to you both. I do not know any one of your friends and admirers who has so much reason for wishing you Godspeed as myself. This is no time to do more than refer to your loving kindness to me and mine; but Joshua and Jean and little Bess as well as myself and my children are represented in the good wishes of the neighborhood gift to you. God bless youFaithfully Wm Taylor Thorn

To John and Cornelia 1882 Beneath the leafy shade, on velvet sod, In presence of your friends, before your God, With glow of health and youth upon your brow, Each unto each, you made your nuptial vow.
1907 And now the quarter Century passed away Has brought you to your "Silver Wedding" day, When, loved and honored by your friends and kin You freshly start, the Golden crown to win.
With children dear, to cheer the future years And be your stay - come either smiles or tears, With hearts attuned to Him who rules the hours May Heaven's choicest blessings e'er be yours.
Lovingly Uncle [Aron?] Stanmore July 15 1907

To Cornelia I knew thee when a little child Loving and blythe, sweet and gay. A joyous girlhood soon was pastWe met upon thy wedding day
Beneath the shade of a Rockland tree We saw this lovely maiden wed While sunshine and shadow over her fell And so the coming years have fled.
The noble husband, at her side With goodness becoming on his face Has cheered her life with loving care And ruled their home with manly grace.
