To all whom it may Concern

Know ye, That Walter Lea a Private of Captain Jas A Courtneys Company (G,) Regiment of Maryland VOLUNTEERS who was enrolled on the Thirty First day of May one thousand eight hundred and Sixty Four to serve 100 Days is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States, this Twenty Seventh day of September, 1864, at Baltimore Maryland by reason of Expiration of term of enlistment (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.*)

Said Walter Lea, was born in Montgomery County in the State of Maryland, is Eighteen years of age, five feet ten inches high, Light complexion, Blue eyes, Light hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a Farmer

Given at Baltimore this Twenty Seventh day of September 1864.
