Clear and cool: father went to Washington both Eliza
Towers with him: sister and I called at Hermon
in the morning dined at Stenmore, home to supper:
M. E. and Anna Hallowell here to supper: sister, Lucy
and myself went to Gennie Moores after supper, Laurence
went to Ingleside to stay a few days.

7^th 3^d day
Clear day: Joe went to Washington with hay: Lucy
dined at Uncle Samuel's met sister Henrietta and
myself at the Cottage ^{in the} afternoon supt all came to the Lyceum
after supper to the Library reading: father came
home from Washington.
