1886 6th Day

Clear and very mild. I went to L.L. in the mornings. Took Lucy to cousin Sally Lea's in the afternoon to stay all night. Joseph went to Ashlan in the afternoon. Arthur brought the mail. Lucy Selphin came to tea to stay all night.

1st. mo.

The morning, called at black Chalfont's. Aunt Lizzie took her to Frank Thomas to tea.

3d. 1st. day Cloudy all day. Margaret Magruder called before meeting Lucy came home from Uncle Samuels before meeting. Lucy went with Aunt Re becca and others to Sharp St. in the afternoon. I went to Harewood awhile. Joseph went to see Charlie Slater after supper.

[1st.?] 2d. day 4th A very stormy day, rained all day, and blew.

5th 3d. day Cleared off, very pleasant; Lucy and I went to Ashton in the morning, I called at Kates and to see Aunt Lydia, who broke her arm yesterday. Lucy went to the Lyceum in the afternoon to the "B.A." Emma Slatler came from school.

6th 4th. day Bright most of the day, cold and windy. we all went to meeting; Lucy went to [?]

7th. 5th. day Clear and pleasant; Joseph at the Lyceum at the convention all day; [Strikethrough] Frances Slatler dined here. Lucy at the school house, at the lunch awhile, then she and I went to Bloomfield to call; Dr. Magruder here early in the afternoon. Emma S. went to Bloomfield from school, and came home with us. Mary and Mariana Slatler here from the "convention" in the morning.

8th. 1st. mo. 6th day Bright morning, Clouded up in the afternoon, begun to snow after dark. I dined at Uncle Charlies.

9th. 7th. day. Bright part of the day; the wind blew all night last night and snowed all night and windy all day, with snow drifting.

10th. 1st. day. Clear cold and windy; Mercury 9. Snow so drifted that people cannot get about much; only two women and ten men at meeting;
