1st.mo. the afternoon, called at Uncle Charlie's, drove George Stabler's horse. Lucy went to the office in the morning, called at Sam Wetheralds

20th. 4th.day Cold and cloudy all day, begun to snow about 3oclock, snowed until sun down, then moderated and rained after night. Joseph and I at meeting; Annie F. Gilpin dined here;

21st. 5th.day Clear and quite mild; Margaret Magruder dined here; Henrietta came in the afternoon to stay all night.

1st.mo. 22nd.6th.day Bright morning, clouded up in the afternoon, windy and turned cooler. I went to Ashton in the afternoon, called to see Aunt Lydia.

23d. 7th.day Bright, cold and windy. Madge Massey called in the afternoon. Lucy went to S.S. in the afternoon.

24th. 1st.day Bright and cold. Joseph and I at meeting; Arthur dined here; Charles Stabler here in the afternoon.

1st.mo. 25th. 2d.day Bright, cold and windy. Arthur and Anna dined here and went to Washington in the afternoon.

26th. 3d.day Bright, cold and windy. James not here.

27th. 4th.day Cloudy all day, begun to snow about 3oclock. The men getting Ice; I went to meeting, and to the office after meeting; M.E. Moore dined here. Franks man hauling Ice for us.

29th. 6th.day Bright and cold; mercury 10 in the morning; Frank's wagon hauled some Ice in the afternoon; James not here, nor Henry either

30th. 7th.day Bright and not so cold, mercury 16 this morning. Joseph went to the office, went to Ashton in the afternoon. Henry not here.

2d.mo.1st. 2d.day Cloudy most of the day, night cold. Jospher hauling wood to the village. I went to S.S. in the afternoon. James Hill heard of his son's death in New York.

2d. 3d.day A stormy day rained all day with - wind, snow at night.
