I have only had mental strength to read "Aurora Leigh" which I found full of the noblest thoughts I have ever read in any book - Mrs. Browning must have been one of those human angels who sojourn on earth to lighten the way for [brethern"] of a less fine clay. and yet who have the leaven of inspiration & aspiration at work within them.
All the invalids better here - There is a French paper for us at the Bristol if thee cares to get it. Mlle. Boyer sent it. Such a nice letter from Mlle. Boyer about the Exposition. I wish thee could go to Shelter Island, but know how thee feels and thee is quite right. Why not send some head pieces to Sat. Even. Post? Glad thee and Dr. Devlin have had such pleasant chats - does that book give any practical suggestions. I would have a candid talk with Dr. D. T

in the afternoon is now the time put down for sailing, but it may be changed. How lovely thee must feel without Milton and Jeannot, and Norwood must seem very different from what it was a month ago. It is a fine thing for Jeannot to be at Shelter Island and I know "Aunt Tilt" is more than pleased to have him. We shall be so glad to see Milton in New York. Dear me! how he did work for us before the wedding, and I hope both thee and he realize how much we appreciate all he did for us.
233 Bowen St Providence, R. I. Dear Margaret: Thy letter sent to Watch Hill was duly received, and was most welcome. It is just two weeks since we left that lovely seaside place and came here. The time spent there was pleasnt in the extreme, and we shall always look back upon it as upon an ideal existence.
