Ther. 20° Cloudy & Clearing. Wind. N.W.
Wednesday, Jan. 6,th 1897

Much cooler weather with strong
N.W. wind which makes it feel
colder than it really is. Tom Stabler
called, Willie also came after Edwd
to help him with his weaving, having
fallen over the wood pile last
night (in the dark) & hurt one of his
knees. Edwd drove to "Fairfield"
taking Tom Stabler with him.
After dinner Perry Connell called
to see me about the school being
"too cold" for the children. Jas T.
Henderson & I went to the school
to investigate the matter, but
found no reason to complain, the
children all expressing themselves
as being "warm enough." After supper
Edwd and Hilles Robison drove over to
"Janney's" to play "Euchre or Whist."
