The old year went out with
one of the worst storms we have
had for years. Wind blowing
from N.W. with great violence
accompanied with sleet & snow.
Edward is very sick with the
"grippe", was up & down several
times during last night looking
after him. The thermometer has
fallen 40 degrees within 24
heres. Snow is drifted badly
although there is not much of it
Wind still blowing today. Poor
Old Mr John Oldfield is to be
buried today belowSpencerville,
they will certainly have a
rough day for the funeral
