Ther. SAT. APRIL 22d, 1899. Wind
Still another beautiful day.
I went to the P.O. & to Fairall's
before lunch. Afternoon there
was a railroad meeting at the
Lyceum. I went over several
times, but the persons who represent
the road had not yet
arrived and I came home, but
they came at last, and the
prospect is now good for our
getting a rail road, some
day.
William (son) Thomas
came & commenced plowing
the lot for us. Old Uncle Henson
was here to see me. Sally
Ellicot was here to see Dora.
Willie Fanny & baby came in time
for supper. After supper W & I
went to the store. [?Thed] Iddings
& Walter called & left Washington
newspapers.

Ther. SUN. APRIL 23d, 1899. Wind
Fine weather continues.
Willie took me to "Riverside"
& "Eldon" at both of which
places we made pleasant calls
& home to dinner. Afternoon
W.F. & the baby returned to
"Fairfield." Edwd rode the
bicycle to "Riverside," expecting
to take tea there & returned
by moonlight. It has beern
quite warm today & looks
& feels like rain. After
supper I walked to the toll
house.
