The meeting was called to order by
B H Miller, foreman. Quite a number
of our members were absent, but
their places were well filled with guests
who were both pleasant & instructive.
The minute of one year ago were read &
we proceeded to take our usual outdoor
exercises. The first new thing that
met our gaze was a neatly laid brick
walk from the door to the horseblock.
On either hand a fine green turf lay
spread before us. A most beautiful rose
near by was much admired, but none of
our florists seemed to know its name.
In the Garden were quantities of
tomatoes, cabbage, & turnips tops; the
peach trees, inferring from the numerous
props under their branches had been
heavily laden with juicy fruit.
