Avalon.
June 7th 1921.

As it suited our Fair Hill hostess better
to entertain the meeting of the Horticultural
on April 29th instead of the regular time,
we met there for lunch on that day.

Quite a full attendance of members were
present, & we sat down to a beautiful luncheon
at the regular hour When the meeting
was called to order in the afternoon, the
minutes were approved as read.

Corrie Brooke said she had not been able
to find anything on horticulture or agriculture,
so she read an article from the Rural
New Yorker. the moral of which was that
when one is weary or over-worked, or recovering
from an illness, such as grippe,
there is no remedy so effective for a
sure cure - as the combination of sleep
& children. The author said in closing
"It is my opinion that the world would
be saner & more efficient if these
hustlers spent more time in sleeping".

She then read a paragraph from The
Atlantic Monthly, & in a few words it
gave a graphic description of [definition?]
