creed in our minutes.

Creed of Sandy Spring
-
To love my friend sincerely,
To offer hospitality generously and ungrudgingly,
To deal honestly with both friend & stranger,
To give modestly and freely;
To couple freedom of consience with a
nice regard for the rights of others;
To live simply;
To grow old gracefully, calm in the
assurance of the reality of the spiritual life

Huldah Janney.

We were interested in hearing of the apples
that had been stored so successfully
at Della Brooke. They kept [Mammoth?]
Balck Tongs & [Stamens?] in barrels 5 or 6 ft.
from the floor of their dairy, & Bsn Davis
that had been bruised were also put there.
This process of keeping the fruit was very
satisfactory. Apples were seen in
a dairy in Howard Co., so it seems the
idea is carried out elsewhere.

Rose Gilpin, chairman of canned fruit
& vegetables at the hospital, asks us
to try & be [generous?]. it is well for us
