Cloverly
July 5th 1921.
June
Our Pres. was absent from the Hor. at Avalon
on June 7th, so Alban Thomas, our worthy
Vice-Pres., took the chair of state.
He opened the meeting by reminding us
of another link in our chain of membership
being broken - in the death of our
dear friend Eliza N. Moore.
A paper expressing our love & appreciation
of her was prepared by a member & read
by the Sec - a copy of this was asked
to be sent to Norwood, & also copied in
the book of minutes.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read,
and accepted after a change of one word,
Currant in the place of gooseberry.
Rose Gilpin read for her husband, who
happened to be in West Va We had
a very fine illustration of Woman's sepremacy -
for altho' the first appointed
reader had kindly made his selection,
his better half decided to make her own
choice, so discarded his for readings
she picked out herself. They consisted
of little clippings from Park's [Floral?]
