The name is seems is spelt C-o-c-o-r-u-s-, and the difference is
in the pronounciation.

Alice Farquhar read from an Editorial in The Washington Post
on April. She asked about the Hollyhock blight, and was referred to
Elizabeth Ligon, who was not present.

Mariana Miller read “The Sandy Spring Creed which was written
by Hulda Janney years ago.

It was good to have Maude Christie at a Sandy Spring gathering
again, and she read from “Meditations for Women”.

Under unfinished business Dorothy Wetherald said she had been
unable to think of any reason why she could not represent us on
The woman’s board of the Hospital.

The School Committee reported on the last meeting of the P.T.A.
She said new officers were elected for next year, and that the play
will by May 4th and 5th at Olney Theatre. The Baughman Memorial two
weeks in a Michigan camp, was awarded to Judy Weaver and Harry Leashear
She also showed the pamphlet which has been gotten out to show the
need for a new High School. The entertainment at the meeting was
Carolyn Woodward’s Ballet group, and those of us who were there, other
than Sylvia were very enthusiastic.
