On motion the Secretary was instructed to purchase for the use of the Association and forward to Monterey the following viz. 3. Doz. Plated Table Spoons 3. Doz. " Tea " 3. " " Table forks 3. " Table knives 1/2 " Butter knives.

The Secretary was instructed to distribute the Printed Maps for advertising by the following plan. viz. One to be sent to each parlor of all Denominations in the State, together with a [Pastel] card directed to the Secty, with segment for the names of the leading members of his church and congregation.

The minutes were read and approved. On motion the meeting adjourned

Executive Committee at the office of the Secretary 1026 Mission St San Francisco January 22nd.

Present. O. Gibson. R McElroy. F.F. Jewell. D. Jacks was also present.

Propositions were received from Alexander Gray of Monterey as follows. The Stables to be taken down and reset at a print near the Carriage Landing, for Seventy five dollars.

Two dormitory buildings Nos 3 & 4 to be changed to correspond with No 2. Razzas to be put on front of each, for One hundred and twenty dollars, on Sixty dollars each. Razzas to correspond the those referred to on 3 & 4, to be put on Nos 12, for twenty-five dollars. No 1- on the lower building to be floored above and stairs to be put in, the floor to be lowered to correspond in height with No. 2. for twenty five dollars.

The propositions were accepted and the Secretary instructed to inform Mr Gray.

It was also resolved to proceed at once to [cloth] and paper the rooms in the Lodging houses. D. Jacks to furnish material and P. Peterson to manage the work.

D. Jacks was authorized to have the following named rooms whitewashed. The sitting room. Dining Room. Chapel or Lodging room. No 6, also the front of all the buildings.

Four windows two on each side were ordered placed in the Chapel building. Certain changes agreed upon were ordered made in Ladies retiring room.

Executive Committee met at San Francisco March 26th at the office of the President. Present Gibson McElroy & Jewell

A proposition was received from Mr. [blank] of Salinas to lease the Dining Hall at the Grove for a rental of $50 per month for the time advertised as the Camp Meeting term for the coming season. Said [blank] to provide for the kitchen a good and sufficient Range for cooking purposes, and also to furnish crockery and knives for his own use Said [blank] is to have privilege of selling at the office in the dining room. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Pacific Grove Retreat Association was held at 1041 Market Street San Francisco, on Wednesday, January 13th 1886.

An application for permission to practice his profession as Physician was presented from Mrs Dr Rowe. [margin]Permission granted to Mrs. Dr. Rowe to practice, as a Physician.[/margin]

The application was considered and permission granted, subject to such regulations as are now in force or shall hereafter be passed by the Association.

On motion the Committee then adjourned.

The Executive Committee consisting of Henry French, George Clifford J.F. Forderer, W.W. Care and HB Heacock. [met?] & organized by [E??y].

Henry French President and HB. Heacock secretary George Clifford & H.B. Heacock were appointed a Committee to confer with the P.I. Co. and City Trustees on matters of special interest as to permits & report to the Trustees by Correspondence soon as practicable.

July 17, 1876 Filled and forwarded Deed to C.K. Ercanbrack of Watsonville. Cash pd last yr // 37.50. Note $37.50. and cash pd Treasurer $25. [Total] 100. Lots 16-18. Block 47. $50. each = 100 Note in hands of D. Jacks and receipted.

July 19th Deed forwarded to J W Ross, San Jose, for lots 3 & 4 Block 39. and lots 3 & 4 Block 40 1/2 Whole amount $500. Receipted by D Jacks as cash, the Amount having been deducted from Salary of J.W. Ross as Supt.

July 19, 1876 Deed Delivered to E [Ackley] Alameda for lot 6. Block 39 = Amount $60 = $30 paid in cash last yr. and $30 charged to J.W. Ross and allowed in settlement with him.

July 19. Deeds forwarded to [I] Hopkins of Lots 5. block 39 3 & 4. Block 23. Cash pd last year $150.

Thomas B Hopkins of Lot 10. Block 39. Lots 1, 2 & 3 Block 22. Cash Pd last year $200.

Daniel Tuttle of Lots 24 & 25 Block 40 1/2 Amount $125. Cash paid last year.

Jane Crooks of Lot 8. Block 58. Amount $75. Cash paid last year.
