attended Stanford in 1941. As I remember her,
she was either a sophomore or junior in the
1941-1942 school year.

After a night's sleep the name of GARFIAS
comes to my mind. You may have either this
name in the Stanford files or a name which
is spelled differently but is phonetically the same.
