Dear Mr. Jacobson:

While glancing through the letters to the editors, I was very
surprised to come across the name of my deceased uncle, Robert
Brooke. Apparently, he was the roommate of Walter Evans-Wentz,
and perhaps, the person who rescued him from the ledge. I missed
the October Almanac, so did not see the original article about this
event. I know nothing about the story, but can furnish you with
the names of several people who might have further information
about this. Robert also had three sisters who have exellent memories
and may well recall this event so I suggest that you contact them.
Listed below are the names and addresses:

Mr. Philip S. Brooks

Spokane, Washington

Miss Rebecca Brooke

2815 Boylston Avenue East

Seattle, Washington 98102

Miss Mary Brooke

Robert Brooke returned to Spokand after graduation from Stanford
and went to work in his father's bank. He died in the influenza
epidemic of 1918. He was unmarried. Since he died before I was
born, my knowledge of him is sketchy. However, I am sure the
above mentioned people would be very glad to give you more
information.
