Dear Mom and Dad,
Today I have one final in conversation and Nietzche Propaganda tomorrow. Plus I have to be done with the Anthro paper hopefully by tonight. So why am I writing? - because its relaxing me. Guess who I haven't heard from? My brother Steve. If I don't by Thurs or so I'll call you or him to find out what's happening. I can't believe it's almost over here. Last Friday we had the Bing Olympics - teams of 10 playing against each other in ridiculous type events. The sprint I got wiped in (by girls). How shattering. But our team came in 2nd. Following it was a Roman orgy with tons of fresh fruit. To start the Olympics there was a torch relay from the [ruins?] across the valley to here. It was great. The last runner lit the torch here and this guy, [Busby?], played the Olympic march on his trumpet. He also played the closing song at night. Hes the guy who will play Star Spangled Banner for the band if he [wants?]. Saturday Brian and I talked to more cow [families?]. We really feel like we know [Black?] better now. Really a fun paper to research. Sunday was the [Familiar?] Fest. Both the [Kreuters?] and the [Krebs?] (who have cows) came. It went really well. A German parent couple showed slides of their trip to America and Stanford. They had about 10 slides of Los Altos - very familiar

scenes. That was fun to see. How was your time with Steve? Sounded like the clam bake would be great. I sure hope there's a letter from him today. Wed. night the 4 [kids?] are feasting at the [Krauters?] for dinner. I'm making poppy seed cake and dinner when Steve and I stay with them. This whole stay here has been something you couldn't do just travelling over here.
I wonder where Joe is. Are Steve and I meeting him or not? Haven't heard from [Kat?]. Hope I get all my work done. You probably do too, but don't worry. By the time you get this letter it will all [be over?].
Play good tennis and smack Leroy a good one for me.
