Dear Mom and Dad,

I hope you've sent a letter. I want to know
if Steve got in or not. I read in Daily or something, the
results. I might be wrong. Anyway send empty
envelopes instead of nothing. I know I owe letters,
but it sure is great to get any. Ignore [arrow pointing up] [paragraph symbol].

Everyone is healthy now. Last weekend I went
to Interlachen, Switz. I still love Switz.
Bob C., Bruce Smyth, Amy and I went. We went
up to the top of a famous huge mountain (Jungfrau)
It was really neat. I have never seen a view
like it. However it was expensive! You might have
noticed how I keep saying how things are expensive.
In other words the $500 dollars sure isn't going to
last the full quarter. For sure not through
3 week break. Anyway Interlachen was beautiful.

Then we went to Bern, the captial and stayed
the night in a youth hostel. Again pretty nice. I
still haven't had Fondue yet though. In the morning
we saw the Van Gogh exhibit thats been traveling around.
Real neat. Bern is the nicest big city I've seen.
No. Rome and maybe Brussels were better. I loved
Rome. Don't let your friends discourage you're
coming here, Mom. That sounds dumb. Everybody
likes it here. Have you heard anyone who hasn't.
You should come. I bet you don't. Betty would
be a tremendous guide. You shouldn't pass up
the chance. You guys gotta see Europe even if you
don't like it, just to see it.

This week-end I going to stay around here
and try to study. One day I might hitch-hike again
with this really nice guy named Brian Sanderson.
Super nice, funny guy. He has a girl friend, Mom.
