a - necessity to man? yes - relieves what would be a discomfort[?] to woman? Perhaps - would have hated to have omitted the experience.

b - Pleasure? Yes - does not know why not.

c - Reproduction? Yes - Does not think she has had too many children.

d - What other reasons beside reproduction are sufficient to warrant intercourse? A close bond making marriage more stable. Can not imagine a new relation established with new people.

1915 d) Binds people together and holds family together - is a bond. Not only reason but a strong family.
