Redfield Proctor (1831-1908) was a merchant, lawyer and politician from Vermont. He was the Governor of Vermont from 1878 to 1880, the U.S. Secretary of War from 1889 to 1891, and a U.S. Senator from Vermont from 1891 until his death in 1908.
