Edwyn Francis Scudamore-Stanhope, 10th Earl of Chesterfield (1854-1933) inherited the title on his father's death. He was Earl of Chesterfield from 1887 until his death in 1933. Lord is a generic title applied to members of the peerage of all five ranks, including Earl.
