Henry D. Sheldon

Henry Davidson Sheldon (1874-1948) was a member of the second class at Stanford University, graduating in 1896 with an A.B. in History, followed by an A.M. in Education in 1897. He then attended Clark University, earning his Ph.D. in 1900. While at Stanford he was Associated Students President during his senior year, a member of Euphronia Literary Society and was also chosen as one of the Carnot medal debate contestants competing against the University of California, Berkeley. He became a professor of education and history and dean of the School of Education at the University of Oregon.
