C. P. Huntington

Collis Potter Huntington (1821-1900) was one of "The Big Four" railroad executives who invested in the Central Pacific Railroad to complete the first U.S. transcontinental railroad. He later helped lead the Southern Pacific Railroad and Chesapeake & Ohio Railway. He was also one of the directors of the Pacific Improvement Company, the holding company that The Big Four had created to manage their investments in the railroads.
